An average TV consumes about 200 watts of power per hour. So, if we leave it on for 12 hours a day, the average usage is about 2400 watt per day.

The electricity average use of a refrigerator is about 230 kWh every month, which equals to 2800 watt per hour at 20 hours of usage a day. So the average electricity usage for that appliance will be 5760 watt/day or 1440 watts/hour.

An air conditioner uses 1500 – 3000 watts per hour depending on its size and cooling capacity due to outside temperature and humidity level in your area. Depending on each country’s average outdoor temperature it may vary from 90W – 3000watt /Hour.
How much electricity does a fan use?
The fan has low power consumption as compared with other electrical appliances like TV, Refrigerator, etc. It Consumes only 25 Watts On Running And It Uses About 250 KWh A Year.
How much electricity does a light bulb use?
The average electricity usage of light is about 100 watts at 12 hours of usage per day. So, the average use if we have lights in our house will be 1200 watts/day or 120 watts/hour.
How much electricity does an electric oven and kettle use?
Electricity average use for an oven and electric kettle are both 300watt per hour. If you watch TV while cooking, on the other hand, it may go up to 500-600 watts depending upon your appliance model.
For example, some models can draw as high as 1100W during operation so cost more to run than others which might work out at around 400 – 525 Watts when being used normally. It all depends on how efficiently they cook your food!

The average electricity usage of a washing machine varies depending on the size. Generally, the average large-sized power consumption is about 1200 watts per hour and small-sized washing machines consume 600 watts to 750 watts (7500KWh) per year which saves you around £50 – 70 annually in energy costs.

The average electricity usage per day for all these appliances together is:
TV = 2400 watt/day Fridge/Freezer = 5760 watt/day Air Conditioner = 1440 watts / hour Fan = 120 watts / hour Light Bulb= 1200 watt/day Electric oven and kettle use 300watt per hour Washing Machine uses 900-1200 watt depending on its size. So, the average electricity usage per day is around 25000 – 28800 Watt hours.
Average Electricity Usage Per Month
Since we have a daily average of 25kWhs it means that if you used this amount every single day in a month then your monthly average would be 30 x 24 kWh which equals to 720 kWh However, most people don’t use electricity every single day and the average out their usage over the whole month which means they use somewhere between 700-800 kWh.
Average Electricity Usage Per Year
As we can see from our previous calculation, the average electricity usage per day is 720kWh/month and if you calculate 30 days in a month then it will be around 24 x 720 = 17280 (17.28 kwh).
This figure does not include no heating or cooling costs as those would depend on your area; for example, some people pay £200 – £300 to cool one room with an Air Conditioner whereas others only spend about £50 – 70 a year. It also depends upon your geographic location of course! So don’t forget that these figures are average cost estimates.
Should We Reduce the Average Electricity Usage?
Yes, of course! You should reduce average electricity usage. We know that by reducing average electricity usage we will save our money on energy bills but there are more benefits to it which can be achieved only when you use less amount of average electricity usage in your home/office or factory.

For example, if there is no need for an Air Conditioner during the summer months or average electricity usage is not required then people should simply switch it off without thinking for a moment.
If you are unable to leave average air conditioning during the daytime due to extreme weather conditions, at least consider turning the average power consumption rate down on your average heating system by allowing only rooms that are being used to be heated up and keeping the average power consumption rate at average setting in the rooms that are unoccupied.
